Flare


Description

Start by facing downward crouched.
  1. Hop feet, and lean to the left.
  2. Sweep left leg under right leg.
  3. Flare legs, and lean backward on left hand.
  4. Swap hands while raising left leg.
  5. Lean left while sweeping right leg under left leg.
  6. Shift weight forward while continuing leg motion.
Repeat process.

Tips to Learning the Flares

Balance and momentum are the keys.
Keep legs flared.
Visualize a pendulum in circular motion.
Practice on a pommel horse, tire, or gymnastic mushroom.
